About the Photographer

I’m a Geologist originally from Akron, Ohio, but have since lived in Kentucky, Nevada, New Mexico, and Colorado. I've always loved photography, but became truly passionate about it in high school after taking an intro to photography class using an old 35 mm Canon camera.

To me, it's always been more than just a picture, it's a feeling. I want people to see things through my eyes and experience the moment.

I’m extremely adventures, and through the years my travels have taken me to places like Iceland, Germany, Ireland, Belize, San Salvador, Puerto Rico and Mexico where I’ve captured some amazing photos.

Not only am I a photographer, but I also make jewelry using mostly stones and other earthy materials. Back in 2000, I came up with the name "Throwing Stones", which comes from one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs and represents my hippie-earthy-geology personality.
